Who we are
The team has spent over a decade on plants: mining, mineral processing, petrochemicals, chemicals, oil and gas, power and renewables. The work was operational technology and control systems, from systems integration and field engineering to design, commissioning and optimisation.
We understand how South African industry runs. Local plants run many different OT systems, and the data sits in all of them. We build for that, and we support it from here, in your time zone, by people who know your industry.
TagLake is a B-BBEE Level 1 company.

Collaboration
Plant engineers know their process better than any vendor ever will. We design with them rather than for them, and the namespace is theirs to build — TagLake never generates it and tells them what their plant looks like.
Empowerment
Software should make people more capable, not more dependent. That applies to the engineers who use TagLake, who should never need a consultant to change a mapping, and to the people who build it.
Client-focused
We sell and support directly. The person who answers your question has read the code.
Working with us
We have no open positions at the moment.
We work with freelance and contract engineers as projects need them, and we would rather hear from you before there is a role than after it closes.
Useful experience includes industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT and Sparkplug B, Modbus), OT and ICS security, time-series and data infrastructure, and anyone who has had to make a plant historian behave.
